Peri Peri Paneer

Ingredients:

For Peri Peri Paneer:

  • 250g paneer, cut into cubes
  • 2 tablespoons peri peri sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon paprika or red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Chopped fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

For NatureSmith’s Cheese Sauce:

  • 1 cup NatureSmith’s Cheese Sauce
  • 1/4 cup milk (adjust consistency as desired)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Marinate the Paneer:
    • In a bowl, combine the peri peri sauce, lemon juice, paprika or red chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, dried thyme, and salt.
    • Add the paneer cubes to the marinade and gently toss until the paneer is well coated. Allow it to marinate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  2. Cook the Paneer:
    • Heat olive oil in a skillet or non-stick pan over medium heat.
    • Once the oil is hot, add the marinated paneer cubes to the pan in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.
    • Cook the paneer cubes for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until they turn golden brown and slightly crispy.
  3. Prepare NatureSmith’s Cheese Sauce:
    • In a small saucepan, heat NatureSmith’s Cheese Sauce over medium-low heat.
    • Gradually add milk while stirring continuously until you reach your desired consistency.
    • Season with salt and pepper to taste, and keep warm until ready to serve.
  4. Serve:
    • Once the paneer cubes are cooked through and have a nice color, remove them from the pan and transfer to a serving plate.
    • Pour warm NatureSmith’s Cheese Sauce over the cooked peri peri paneer cubes.
    • Garnish with chopped fresh cilantro, if desired.
